We are seeking a skilled and dependable Hotel Cook to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with hotel standards and guest preferences.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, committed to cleanliness and hygiene, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service orders) according to established recipes and menus.
Assist in menu planning and food presentation to maintain consistency and quality.
Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner to meet guest expectations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, cooking utensils, and food storage areas.
Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
Monitor food stock and report shortages or low inventory to the chef or kitchen manager.
Assist in receiving and properly storing deliveries.
Minimize waste and contribute to cost control by using ingredients efficiently.
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
Culinary School Diploma or equivalent certification (preferred).
Proven experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Familiarity with sanitation regulations and food safety guidelines.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
