Role




  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Credit Risk team as a Credit Risk Analyst. 

  • The Credit Risk Analyst will support critical areas such as credit risk analysis, loan portfolio management, credit decisioning, fraud detection, and underwriting processes.

  • You will work closely with the Head of Credit Risk and other senior team members, contributing to high-impact projects that require strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of credit risk factors.|



Key Responsibilities:



Assist in analyzing credit data to assess loan applications and risk levels:




  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of customers.

  • Evaluate the customer's repayment capacity, willingness to pay, and credit history.

  • Review and approve or decline credit applications based on established criteria.



Monitor the credit risk portfolio:




  • Track and monitor the performance of existing credit portfolios.

  • Identify trends and early warning signs of credit deterioration.

  • Implement strategies to mitigate credit risk and improve portfolio quality.



Ensure regulatory compliance:




  • Ensure compliance with all relevant credit risk regulations and guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Collaborate on fraud detection and prevention measures.

  • Participate in loan portfolio performance tracking and reporting.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve the lending process and mitigate risk.



Requirements:




  • Experience in credit risk management, data analysis, or financial modeling.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

  • 2+ years experience in a Start-up, Fintech or Financial Industry. 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

  • Logical thinker evidenced by strong numerical/data skills or programming/coding experience (SQL, Retool, Python, R, Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI, Qlikview).

  • Familiarity with other data analytics tools, or other relevant software is a plus.

  • Familiarity with data wrangling, processing and visualization concepts and best practices.
