  • We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Auxiliary Nurse / Sanitation Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to minor health issues of students and staff, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic school environment, and enforcing health and sanitation standards across the school premises.



Key Responsibilities

Auxiliary Nursing Duties:




  • Provide first aid treatment and respond to minor injuries or illnesses among pupils and staff.

  • Monitor and document the health condition of students.

  • Administer prescribed medications as authorized by parents and school management.

  • Refer serious medical cases to appropriate healthcare facilities when necessary.

  • Keep accurate health records and maintain medical supplies inventory.

  • Educate pupils and staff on personal hygiene and basic health practices.



Sanitation Duties:




  • Oversee and coordinate general cleanliness across the school’s classrooms, restrooms, offices, and surrounding environment.

  • Supervise and guide cleaners and janitorial staff to maintain daily sanitation routines.

  • Ensure waste disposal is done properly and hygienically.

  • Carry out periodic inspections to ensure adherence to environmental and health safety standards.

  • Report and follow up on any identified health hazard or risk within the school compound.



Requirements & Qualifications




  • Certificate or Diploma in Auxiliary Nursing, Health Assistant Training, or related field.

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in auxiliary nursing or school health services.

  • Proven experience with sanitation and hygiene practices in a school or institutional setting.

  • Must reside in Ibadan, preferably within or around the Apata area for prompt response and availability.

  • Good communication skills and ability to relate well with children and staff.

  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and professionally.
