About the Role




  • We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and visionary Operational Head to lead and coordinate Hopewell’s programs in Lagos and Ogun States.

  • This role is pivotal to our mission of transforming lives through strategic programming, partnerships, and impact-driven execution.

  • The ideal candidate must be highly self-motivated, a natural leader, and passionate about youth development, gender equity, and community transformation.



Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Management:




  • Provide operational oversight of all Hopewell programs and initiatives across Lagos and Ogun States.

  • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of projects including women empowerment, youth leadership, menstrual hygiene campaigns, and the International Award scheme.

  • Supervise program officers, volunteers, and interns ensuring high performance, alignment with goals, and adherence to timelines.

  • Monitor and evaluate program impact, ensuring data-driven reporting and continuous improvement.



Program Implementation:




  • Oversee logistics, budgeting, and field operations for all community and school-based activities.

  • Ensure all programs meet internal standards and donor/partner expectations.

  • Coordinate all Adventurous Journey camps and leadership retreats (including safety protocols, risk assessments, itineraries, and logistics).

  • Manage the Online Record Book (ORB) platform and participant lifecycle for the International Award Program.



Stakeholder Engagement:




  • Build and manage relationships with school heads, government ministries, community leaders, and strategic partners.

  • Liaise with the National Award Office and represent Hopewell in official Award activities and training sessions.

  • Coordinate visits, advocacy meetings, and collaborative projects with government agencies (e.g., Ministry of Women Affairs, Education, and WAPA).



Communications & Reporting:




  • Provide monthly reports to the Founder/Executive Director on progress, risks, and recommendations.

  • Draft and review program proposals, reports, letters, partnership requests, and official communications.

  • Oversee media coverage, branding, and documentation of Hopewell activities.



Volunteer Management & Team Building:




  • Recruit, train, and manage program volunteers for field activities and outreach.

  • Conduct debriefings and build a strong, motivated team culture.



Qualification and Skills




  • Bachelor's Degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Public Administration, or related fields.

  • 1+ years of experience post NYSC.

  • Strong leadership and team coordination experience.

  • Experience working with youth, schools, or government stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.

  • Familiarity with the Duke of Edinburgh Award or similar youth frameworks is a major advantage.

  • Must be resident in Lagos or Ogun State, with flexibility to travel frequently across both states.
