Job Summary
- The Business Development Executive will be responsible for documentation and analysis of sales and other business development activities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
- This role requires a strong finance and accounting background and the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends in the upstream sector of the petroleum industry
- Develop and implement business strategies to expand the company’s market presence and drive growth.
- Identify, approach, and establish relationships with potential clients and partners.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with end users, traders, and distributors.
- Drive sales strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Managing end to end supply chain operations by coordinating functionally with the other strategic team members for seamless execution.
- Manage the import and export process, ensuring legal compliance and customs regulations.
- Conduct market forecasting and analysis to predict demand-supply trends and pricing fluctuations.
- Prepare and make bids, technical presentation on the product to the buyers and arranging the samples and related documents for the approval process.
- Build a strong relationship with key clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders and retaining them with different marketing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with traders, importers, and buyers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Assist in the preparation of bids, tenders, and proposals for new projects.
- Conduct market research and generate reports to support business expansion strategies.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports and insights to the management.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring targets are met.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to build a robust professional network.
- Track and report on the performance of business development activities and suggest improvements.
- Work closely with the senior executives to align strategies and goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas sector upstream sector with at least 4 years in Oil Trading.
- Must have experience in documentation management, preferably within the upstream sector of the oil & gas industry.
- Strong understanding of product specifications, applications, and market demand.
- Should have good industry segment network with end users, off-takers and traders.
- Well-versed in import/export regulations, logistics, and procurement in the upstream sector
- Strong ability to analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and demand forecasts.
- Should be flexible to travel and work across multiple locations in the country.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and market analysis software.
- Should be able to work independently without any supervision and should be result oriented.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
