The Human Asset Management Specialist at Dangote Cement Plc in Okpella will be responsible for managing and developing human resources strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's broader strategic goals. This role requires a collaborative and proactive approach to optimize the engagement, performance, and development of our workforce.



Key Responsibilities




  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and onboarding processes to ensure the company attracts and retains talented individuals.

  • Develop and implement tailored employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity.

  • Manage performance evaluation processes and provide support for career development programs.

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, ensuring fair treatment and resolution of grievances.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, conducting audits as necessary.

  • Analyze HR metrics and produce reports to inform decision-making and strategy refinement.

  • Facilitate regular training sessions on various topics, including compliance, team development, and leadership skills.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop HR policies, programs, and strategies specific to the Okpella site.



Requirements



Academic / Professional Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or similar) would be an advantage.



Work Experience




  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources management.

  • Prior experience in the manufacturing sector or a similar industry is preferred.



Skills and Competencies




  • Strong understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and compliance issues.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels.

  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex HR issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively.

  • Culturally sensitive with a strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles.
