Job Summary




  • We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our bakery and confectionery production facility.

  • The ideal candidate will have up to four years of progressive experience in food production, with at least one year supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • This role ensures that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.



Key Responsibilities




  • Supervise daily production activities, ensuring alignment with recipes, quality standards, and timelines.

  • Lead a team of bakers, packers, and machine operators, providing hands-on direction and support.

  • Monitor raw material usage, reduce waste, and ensure optimal resource utilization.

  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards (e.g., NAFDAC, SON compliance).

  • Conduct daily team briefings and assign tasks based on production schedules.

  • Collaborate with Quality Control and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.

  • Track production metrics and prepare shift reports for management.

  • Train and mentor junior staff to improve output, product quality, and compliance.

  • Assist in process improvements and contribute ideas for efficiency and product consistency.



Qualifications & Experience




  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Food Scienceor related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–4 years of relevant work experience in a bakery or confectionery production setting.

  • Minimum 1 year experience supervising a small team or shift.

  • Knowledge of baking/confectionery processes and equipment (e.g., mixers, ovens, extruders).

  • Familiarity with basic inventory, GMP, HACCP, or other food safety systems is a plus.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts if required.
