We are seeking a skilled, passionate, and experienced Continental Chef to join their home as a live-in chef.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and hands-on experience in preparing a variety of continental dishes, with strong knowledge of herbs, spices, and natural ingredients.
Candidates who avoid the use of artificial flavoring and seasonings are highly preferred
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and cook high-quality, fresh, and nutritious continental meals for the household.
Create weekly and monthly menus based on dietary preferences, seasonal ingredients, and family needs.
Source, select, and manage kitchen ingredients with an emphasis on fresh, organic, and natural foods.
Ensure meals are prepared without the use of artificial seasonings, opting for herbs, spices, and natural flavoring methods.
Cater to special dietary requirements, preferences, or restrictions.
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and well-organized kitchen environment at all times.
Manage kitchen inventory, handle procurement of food items, and avoid wastage.
Occasionally assist with planning and catering for special family events or gatherings.
Work cooperatively with other household staff and respect the privacy and routines of the family.
Key Requirements
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a continental chef, preferably in private homes or fine-dining restaurants.
Strong portfolio or references demonstrating expertise in continental cuisine.
Deep knowledge of herbs, spices, and organic/natural ingredients.
Must be health-conscious, clean, and capable of preparing balanced meals without artificial additives.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to live on-site and adapt to the household’s schedule and expectations.
Good communication skills and a high level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Physically fit, energetic, and able to work in a fast-paced household.
