Responsibilities



The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):




  • Be responsible for proactive client engagement, including unsolicited outreach, and shall play a key role in the sourcing and acquisition of legal briefs.

  • Independently manage and execute complex legal matters across various practice areas upon receiving briefs from partners or clients.

  •  Prepare and review high-quality legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memoranda, legal opinions, and regulatory submissions.

  • Develop case strategies and legal approaches in response to client needs, ensuring the most effective and efficient legal solutions are delivered.

  • Lead or support in litigation matters, including attending court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations when necessary.

  • Ensure all legal work complies with current regulations, industry standards, and internal firm policies while managing risks for clients and the firm.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact and advisor.

  • Supervise junior associates, providing clear guidance and oversight of their work to maintain high-quality legal output.

  • Efficiently handle briefs received from senior partners, ensuring that client instructions are understood and implemented effectively.

  • Achieve or exceed monthly/annual billable hours targets as set by the firm’s operational guidelines.

  • Actively participate in business development activities, through client solicitation, proposal drafting, and participation in networking events.

  • Stay updated on relevant market and legal trends, bringing forward innovative solutions to client matters and business practices.

  • Represent the firm at industry events, client meetings, and networking functions, enhancing the firm’s presence and reputation.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal policies and procedures to ensure the firm’s continued operational success and adherence to industry standards.



Requirement




  • LL.B from a recognized university.

  •  LL.M is preferred but not mandatory.

  •  A minimum of 12-15 years of legal experience

  •  Proven experience in handling high-value, complex legal matters and managing client relationships.

  •  Strong expertise in reviewing and interpreting legal briefs, providing strategic counsel, and executing legal strategies.

  • Male candidate is preferred.

  • High level of precision in legal drafting, analysis, and documentation.

  • Demonstrates commercial awareness and a deep understanding of client needs, with a focus on providing exceptional client service.

  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks and legal matters, adjusting strategies as needed to meet client needs.
