Job Description
The Finisher is responsible for the final stage of the production process, ensuring that products are smoothed, polished, coated, or otherwise prepared for delivery. This includes sanding, painting, varnishing, buffing, cleaning, and inspecting products to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform surface preparation such as sanding, grinding, or filing of products.
- Apply stains, paint, varnish, polish, or other finishes to completed items.
- Inspect products for defects, scratches, or flaws and correct them appropriately.
- Ensure that all finishing work meets company quality and safety standards.
- Work with production and quality teams to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean workspace.
- Keep records of materials used and finishing techniques applied.

Job Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
- SSCE / OND / Vocational or Trade Certification in Finishing, Painting, Carpentry, or a related field.
- Training in surface finishing techniques is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 1 – 3 years of experience as a Finisher in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Skilled in using hand and power tools for sanding, buffing, and polishing.
- Knowledge of various finishing techniques and materials (e.g., lacquer, varnish, paint, powder coating).
- Good eye for detail and a high standard of craftsmanship.
- Understanding of safety practices related to chemicals and equipment.
- Physical stamina and ability to work with hands for extended periods.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or in a team.
