About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Farm Manager to oversee the operations of our rice farms in Lafia, Nasarawa.


• This role requires strong agronomic knowledge, operational leadership, and a commitment to sustainable practices


• The ideal candidate will manage all field activities from land preparation to harvest while ensuring maximum yield and resource efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across our rice farm sites.


• Develop seasonal crop plans, monitor growth stages, and manage irrigation schedules.


• Supervise field staff and casual laborers, ensuring high productivity and discipline.


• Manage inputs, equipment, and farm logistics in collaboration with procurement and operations teams.


• Implement best practices in pest, disease, and weed management in alignment with IPM.


• Ensure timely planting, fertilization, and harvesting activities.


• Maintain accurate farm records including yield, input use, and labor.


• Coordinate with agronomists, consultants, and external partners.


• Uphold environmental and safety standards across all operations.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field


• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience managing a commercial farm


• Strong leadership and people management skills


• Practical experience with maize, rice, soybean, or similar crops


• Ability to use farm planning tools, spreadsheets, and digital reporting apps


• Willingness to work and reside close to farm locations within Nasarawa and Lafia
