Job Summary
- This role is responsible for collecting, interpreting, and transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform operational and strategic decisions across the organization.
- It requires a high level of analytical thinking, statistical proficiency, and a strong understanding of industry-specific metrics and business intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, cleanse, and validate data from multiple sources including production reports, financial systems, drilling logs, and inventory records. Ensure accuracy and consistency across all datasets.
- Perform statistical analyses to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies within operational data. Deliver high-quality reports and executive dashboards that guide performance improvement initiatives.
- Translate complex data into compelling visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. Prepare concise, insight-driven presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain—to align analytics with core business goals and identify opportunities for data-driven enhancements.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of data assets. Adhere to regulatory standards and internal data governance policies, ensuring clean, accurate, and reliable datasets at all times.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.Sc / HND in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 1 – 2 years of proven experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, Pivot Tables, macros), SQL, and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey analytical insights clearly.
