Job Summary
- The General Manager, Technical (EPIIM) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring the successful execution of engineering, procurement, integration, installation, and maintenance projects. This role oversees the full lifecycle of major projects from feasibility studies and design reviews to procurement, systems integration, installation, and ongoing maintenance. Key responsibilities include developing fit-for-purpose engineering solutions, sourcing critical materials and equipment, managing project manpower, and ensuring seamless system integration and long-term asset performance. The General Manager will drive operational excellence by optimizing efficiency, reducing downtime, and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen, commercial awareness, and a proven track record in delivering complex projects across the energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors in support of subsidiaries and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Develop and implement strategic plans for EPIIM project execution and growth.
- Align technical operations with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Project Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects from design and procurement to integration, installation, and maintenance.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
Functional Accountabilities:
- Engineering: Oversee engineering designs, feasibility studies, and technical assessments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure standards are met.
- Procurement: Lead sourcing, negotiation, and procurement to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.
- Integration: Supervise integration plans and ensure seamless system operations.
- Installation: Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant installation of systems and equipment.
- Maintenance: Lead maintenance strategies, troubleshooting, budget management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or a related field).
- A master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- 15+ years of progressive technical and leadership experience in engineering and project delivery, including at least 5 years at a senior management level.
- Proven track record in EPIIM project management within the oil & gas, energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-million-dollar turnkey projects.
