Job Description
Role Summary:
The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and safeguarding construction materials, tools, and equipment. Ensures accurate record-keeping, timely issuance, and reconciliation of stock to minimize losses and control project costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, record, and issue construction materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management software.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor material usage and flag unusual consumption patterns.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Work closely with procurement and project teams to forecast material needs.
- Prepare periodic inventory reports for management.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as an Inventory officer. With good site experience
- BSC/HND in QS, Purchasing & supply or any relevant course
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards in material handling.
