About the Role




  • We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales & Marketing Officer to join our bakery business.

  • The ideal candidate will support the company in reversing declining sales and driving sustainable growth.

  • This role requires strong customer engagement, field marketing, account follow-ups, and proficiency in basic business tools (Word and Excel).



Key Responsibilities




  • Drive sales of bakery products by actively engaging with new and existing customers (retail, wholesale, distributors, corporate buyers).

  • Execute field marketing activities, promotions, and campaigns to attract new customers and increase brand visibility.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat patronage.

  • Follow up on all aspects of the sales cycle including:

  • Monitoring receivables and ensuring timely payments.

  • Reconciling customer accounts and maintaining accurate records.

  • Support the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to boost revenue.

  • Provide regular sales reports and market feedback to management.

  • Track competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Ensure proper use of Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, reporting, and account management.



Requirements




  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree 

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in sales, marketing, or customer-facing roles (experience in the food or FMCG industry is an added advantage).

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and resolve issues professionally.

  • Basic knowledge of receivables tracking, account reconciliation, and record-keeping.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and willing to work actively in the field.

  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.



Preferred Qualities:




  • Experience in bakery, food, or FMCG sales.

  • Coachable and eager to grow into a larger business development management role.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
