Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate the effects of drugs on tissues, organs, and systems.
- Study drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (pharmacokinetics).
- Analyze the therapeutic and toxicological effects of chemical compounds (pharmacodynamics).
- Collaborate with chemists, biologists, clinicians, and other scientists in drug development projects.
- Perform preclinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of new medications.
- Document, interpret, and report research findings in line with scientific and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, ethical guidelines, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions for new drugs.
- Stay updated with advancements in pharmacology, biotechnology, and related fields.
- Provide expert input in clinical trial design, drug formulation, and dose determination.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Physiology, or a related field
- Strong background in biology, chemistry, and medical sciences.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory research and analytical techniques.
- Knowledge of drug discovery, toxicology, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for scientific reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
