Job Description






The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing the water supply, drainage, and piping systems within the automobile manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring that all plumbing systems are in proper working condition to support production operations, staff welfare facilities, and overall factory infrastructure. The Plumber will also perform preventive maintenance and respond promptly to plumbing-related emergencies.



Key Responsibilities




  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems, water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures.

  • Inspect plumbing systems for leaks, malfunctions, and safety hazards.

  • Troubleshoot plumbing problems and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure reliability.

  • Install and maintain sanitary systems in staff facilities (toilets, washrooms, kitchens, etc.).

  • Collaborate with facility management and maintenance teams on piping and water supply needs.

  • Interpret and work from plumbing blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Recommend improvements or upgrades to plumbing systems where necessary.



Education & Qualifications




  • Trade Test Certificate, Technical College Certificate, OND, or equivalent in Plumbing, Building Services, or related field.

  • Professional plumbing certification is an added advantage.



Experience




  • 3–5 years of proven experience as a plumber, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with industrial piping systems, water supply, and sanitary installations.



Skills & Competencies




  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
