Role summary



We are seeking a Project Manager to join the Nathan Claire team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest standards of accountability and quality. The Project Manager will also maintain accurate documentation and act as the bridge between our technical teams and clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, structured delivery capability, and exceptional stakeholder management skills. This role requires the ability to navigate complex, multi-country projects and ensure successful outcomes in environments where performance, compliance, and client trust are paramount



Key responsibilities



Project planning & coordination



Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with the technical team




  • Define scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, and governance structures in alignment with client objectives and Nathan Claire Africa’s delivery standards.

  • Organise regular check-ins to ensure progress aligns with agreed contract objectives.



Documentation & reporting




  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for all technical department projects (requirements, processes, meeting notes, decisions, reports).

  • Prepare and share clear progress reports, dashboards, and updates with relevant stakeholders.



Accountability & stakeholder management




  • Hold both internal team members and clients accountable to agreed deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.

    • Serve as the primary escalation point for enterprise clients, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and proactive stakeholder engagement.

    • Facilitate clear communication between technical staff, management, and clients to avoid misalignment.

    • Identify risks and proactively escalate issues to ensure smooth delivery.





Quality & process improvement




  • Ensure all projects follow established frameworks and best practices.

  • Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and documentation standards within the technical department.

  • Align project outcomes with broader business transformation objectives such as digital experience enhancement, infrastructure resilience, and operational efficiency.



Qualifications & skills




  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, IT, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project/program management with at least 3 years in enterprise-level fintech or financial services projects.

  • Professional certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master, or equivalent.

  • Experience working with international technology partners and navigating multi-jurisdictional delivery requirements.

  • Strong track record of delivering high-stakes projects for banks, payment providers, or large enterprises in regulated environments. 

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Comfortable using project management tools e.g. Zoho

  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
