The Anaesthetic Technician will monitor patients and provide quality anesthesia care under the supervision of the anesthetist nurse.
The job holder would also provide support to patient before, during and after Anesthesia to ensure quality and continuity of care, assist in life saving measures such as CPR, and life support and operate Anesthetic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain clinical equipment, ensuring safety and quality control.
Prepare patients for anaesthesia and assist with preparatory procedures.
Conduct pre-tests and calibrate anaesthesia delivery systems and monitors.
Assist with inducing, maintaining, and adjusting anesthesia levels.
Operate bedside electronic monitors and ensure continuity of care during post-operative recovery.
Assist with life support measures, including airway management, as required.
Document patients' surgical procedures and care information accurately and timely.
Educate patients and their families on managing post-treatment home care and rehabilitation processes.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology
At least 1 year of relevant work experience in the healthcare sector.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), with strong interpersonal and people- management abilities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control practices.
