About the Role

• We are hiring a skilled Farm Maintenance Lead to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations on our poultry farm.


• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the diesel generator, plumbing systems, cold chain equipment, and general farm infrastructure.


• This role requires hands-on technical skills, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to minimizing downtime and ensuring the highest standards of farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on feeders, drinkers, brooders, lighting, and ventilation systems.


• Inspect and repair pens, roofs, and flooring to prevent leaks, rust, and damage.


• Operate and maintain diesel generators, ATS, and farm wiring.


• Keep accurate records of fuel usage, oil changes, filters, and maintenance activities.


• Manage boreholes, pumps, tanks, and ensure clean water supply for birds and staff.


• Maintain egg cold room temperature, compressors, and door seals.


• Liaise with vendors/contractors for specialized repairs, ensuring quality and fair pricing.


• Keep a structured maintenance logbook and report monthly on farm asset conditions.

Requirements

• Technical training in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, or related fields, OR proven hands-on experience in farm/factory settings.


• 3–5 years’ experience in poultry, agro-processing, or FMCG facilities.


• Multi-skilled in electrical, plumbing, welding, and refrigeration.


• Practical problem solver, resourceful, and self-motivated.


• Must be willing to live on-site at the farm in Epe.
