We are seeking dedicated and passionate volunteers to support our operations at the Gilead Initiative for Sustainable Development (GISD) Makurdi Office. Volunteers will contribute to program implementation, office administration, partnership engagement, and community outreach. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development sector while making a real difference in local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning, coordination, and implementation of GISD programs and events.
- Assist in documentation, report writing, and record-keeping.
- Engage with community stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries during field activities.
- Support communication efforts including social media management and advocacy campaigns.
- Provide administrative assistance and contribute to daily office operations.
- Contribute ideas for project development and resource mobilization.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/NCE; Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Public Health, or related fields is an advantage.
- Strong interest in community development, youth empowerment, climate change, or public health.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet use).
- Ability to commit at least 30 hours per week.
- Prior volunteer or NGO experience is an asset but not mandatory.
