Key Responsibilities



Administrative Responsibilities




  • Office management – Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office, including supplies, utilities, and facilities.

  • Staff support and HR – Maintain personnel records, support onboarding/offboarding, track leave, and ensure policy compliance.

  • Vendor and contract management – Oversee procurement, manage service contracts, and ensure timely payments.

  • Documentation and compliance – Maintain up-to-date organizational documents, licenses, and policies.

  • Support leadership – Assist senior management with research, fundraising, strategic planning, execution, reporting, and evaluation of programs.

  • Coordinate logistics – Oversee travel, meetings, trainings, and other internal events.

  • IT and asset management – Track office assets and support basic tech or liaise with vendors for support.

  • Ensure timely and effective communication across teams – Facilitate smooth internal coordination to drive efficient project and program delivery.



Finance Responsibilities




  • Prepare and manage budgets – Develop annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Maintain accurate financial records – Record transactions, manage ledgers, and oversee financial reporting.

  • Generate financial reports – Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management, donors, and regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance – File tax returns, process payroll, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., SCUML, FIRS, LIRS, pension, etc.).

  • Manage audits – Liaise with external auditors, prepare audit documents, and implement recommendations.

  • Oversee cash flow and bank reconciliations – Monitor bank accounts, manage petty cash, and ensure healthy liquidity.

  • Support grant reporting – Track donor funds, prepare financial reports for grants, and ensure proper fund allocation.



Requirements




  • A Bachelor’s degree in AccountingFinance, or a related field (minimum 2:1).

  • Must have completed NYSC.

  • 1–2 years of experience working in an Accounting or Audit firm.

  • Strong understanding of accounting systems, budgeting, and compliance.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage a wide range of stakeholders, including partners, donors, staff, students, and volunteers.

  • Patience and the ability to build positive and supportive relationships with teenagers.

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • High proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and other administrative software and tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Mandatory availability to work every Saturday to support program activities.

  • A genuine passion for community impact and a strong commitment to empowering underserved children and youth through education.
