Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Monitor compliance with ISA 2025, SEC Rules, NGX Listing Rules, CAMA 2020, NDPA 2023, and other applicable regulations.
- Liaise with regulators and support inspections, filings, and audits.
- Assist in preparing board and committee meeting documents, minutes, and resolutions.
- Maintain statutory books and ensure timely regulatory filings.
- Identify and escalate legal and compliance risks.
- Support implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, and internal controls.
- Ensure data protection compliance in handling shareholders’ and clients' information.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- LL.B and BL (qualified lawyer in Nigeria).
- 4–7 years post-call experience in corporate/commercial law, compliance, or capital markets.
- Prior experience in a registrar, law firm, or financial services company is an advantage
