Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced and passionate Local Cook to prepare a variety of authentic Nigerian dishes in a clean, efficient, and timely manner.


• The ideal candidate should be skilled in cooking traditional meals from different regions of Nigeria and be able to maintain high standards of hygiene and taste.


• This role requires someone who is reliable, hardworking, and committed to delivering great-tasting local food every time.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide range of Nigerian local dishes.


• Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner and served fresh.


• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.


• Follow recipes or instructions provided and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.


• Monitor and manage food supplies and ingredients; report shortages.


• Adhere to proper food storage and handling procedures.


• Comply with all local food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE preferred; vocational or culinary training is a plus but not compulsory.


• Proven experience as a local cook in a restaurant, hotel, or private home.


• Ability to cook a variety of Nigerian dishes confidently and consistently.


• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.


• Good communication skills and ability to take feedback.


• Must be dependable and have a positive attitude toward work.
