We are looking for a skilled and passionate Intercontinental Cook who is experienced in preparing a wide range of international dishes, with the ability to occasionally incorporate or work alongside Nigerian cuisine.
The ideal candidate should have strong culinary knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook various intercontinental meals such as:
Ensure food is prepared and served according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in planning daily or weekly menus in coordination with the Head Chef.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper food storage at all times.
Monitor food inventory and assist in placing orders for ingredients as needed.
Support other kitchen staff in prep work and cooking during peak hours.
Follow health, safety, and food handling procedures.
Work as part of a kitchen team and communicate effectively with other staff.
Requirements
Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum of 2 – 4 years' experience cooking intercontinental dishes in a hotel, restaurant, lounge, or catering environment.
Ability to cook and present international dishes consistently and attractively.
Basic knowledge of Nigerian dishes is a plus.
Culinary training or vocational certification is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and handling practices.
Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
