Responsibilties
Brooding Management (Day-Old Chicks):
- Prepare brooding houses before chick arrival (cleaning, disinfection, heating systems, feeding, drinking, ventilation systems).
- Receive and inspect day-old chicks for quality and health.
- Monitor and maintain brooding conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation, lighting) to ensure comfort.
- Implement vaccination and medication schedules for chicks.
- Maintain strict biosecurity to prevent mortality and disease outbreaks.
- Maintain all automatic systems in good working condition at all times.
Broiler Production Management:
- Plan and supervise daily feeding, watering, and general care of broilers.
- Monitor growth rates, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and weight targets.
- Conduct regular health checks and coordinate treatment with the farm veterinarian.
- Implement best practices for minimizing mortality and maximizing production efficiency.
- Assign daily duties to farm workers and monitor performance.
- Train staff on chick handling, feeding schedules, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Ensure safety and discipline among team members.
- Maintain accurate records of feed usage, mortality, weight gains, and medication.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports for management.
- Track brooding-to-broiler transfer performance data for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a B.Agric Degree with 3 years work experience.
