Responsibilties

Brooding Management (Day-Old Chicks):

• Prepare brooding houses before chick arrival (cleaning, disinfection, heating systems, feeding, drinking, ventilation systems).


• Receive and inspect day-old chicks for quality and health.


• Monitor and maintain brooding conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation, lighting) to ensure comfort.


• Implement vaccination and medication schedules for chicks.


• Maintain strict biosecurity to prevent mortality and disease outbreaks.


• Maintain all automatic systems in good working condition at all times.

Broiler Production Management:

• Plan and supervise daily feeding, watering, and general care of broilers.


• Monitor growth rates, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and weight targets.


• Conduct regular health checks and coordinate treatment with the farm veterinarian.


• Implement best practices for minimizing mortality and maximizing production efficiency.


• Assign daily duties to farm workers and monitor performance.


• Train staff on chick handling, feeding schedules, hygiene, and disease prevention.


• Ensure safety and discipline among team members.


• Maintain accurate records of feed usage, mortality, weight gains, and medication.


• Prepare daily and weekly reports for management.


• Track brooding-to-broiler transfer performance data for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a B.Agric Degree with 3 years work experience.
