Job Purpose




  • To provide professional engineering expertise in the supervision and execution of road and building construction projects.

  • The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.



Key Responsibilities




  • Supervise and manage day-to-day site activities on road and building construction projects.

  • Oversee project execution to ensure adherence to design, specifications, and engineering standards.

  • Monitor contractors, subcontractors, and site workers to ensure compliance with project plans.

  • Implement and monitor QA/QC systems across all stages of project execution.

  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and processes to ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.

  • Prepare and review method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and QA/QC documentation.

  • Prepare and review work schedules, progress reports, and technical documentation.

  • Conduct quality control checks on construction materials, workmanship, and finished works.

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards on site.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, site supervisors, and foremen.

  • Liaise with consultants, architects, surveyors, and clients for project updates and approvals.

  • Manage resource allocation including manpower, equipment, and materials.

  • Conduct site inspections to resolve technical issues and recommend corrective actions

  • Enforce compliance with engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support project planning, cost estimation, and contract administration processes.



Qualifications and Skills




  • Education: B.Sc. / B.Eng. in Civil Engineering (M.Sc. is an added advantage).

  • Professional Certification: COREN, NSE, or equivalent recognized engineering body certification.

  • Minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in both road and building construction projects.

  • Proven track record in site supervision, project execution, and compliance with engineering standards.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

  • Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, Primavera 6, etc.).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
