Job Purpose: 




  • The Head of Business Development & Growth is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding iCentra’s client base, and deepening relationships with strategic partners across Africa. This role will lead business development strategy, oversee go-to-market execution for B2B Solutions and B2C Learning, and ensure alignment with iCentra’s vision. 



Key Responsibilities: 



Business Development & Growth Strategy 




  • Develop and execute iCentra’s growth strategy for Nigeria and Africa, aligned with global priorities. 

  • Identify and pursue high-value opportunities across corporate, public sector, and international organizations. 

  • Build and manage a strong business pipeline for both B2B Solutions and B2C Learning. 

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends. 



Client & Partner Engagement 




  • Lead client acquisition efforts, negotiate and close deals with high-value accounts. 

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers in corporate, government, and development sectors. 

  • Drive strategic partnerships and alliances to support market expansion. 



Sales & Revenue Performance 




  • Deliver consistent revenue growth in line with set sales targets. 

  • Oversee account management processes to ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business. 

  • Track, analyze, and report sales performance metrics. 



Team Leadership & Collaboration 




  • Work closely with the Managers, B2B Solutions and Learning to execute growth plans. 

  • Mentor and manage key account managers and business development executives. 

  • Collaborate with global leadership to ensure synergies. 



Brand & Market Visibility 




  • Represent iCentra at industry events, conferences, and thought-leadership platforms. 

  • Collaborate with Marketing/Comms team to position iCentra as a leader in consulting, innovation, and learning. 



Requirements (Profile): 




  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related fields (Master’s/MBA preferred). 



Experience




  • Minimum 10 years in business development, sales, or strategy with at least 5 years in a senior management role. 

  • Strong background in consulting, professional services, technology, or learning & development sectors. 

  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and closing large accounts. 



Skills & Competencies




  • Strategic thinker with strong execution ability. 

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. 

  • Deep understanding of African markets and client needs. 

  • Network with corporate, government, and donor agency stakeholders (a strong plus). 

  • Leadership and people management experience. 



Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): 




  • Revenue Growth – % increase in revenue from B2B Solutions and B2C Learning. 

  • Client Acquisition – Number of new corporate/public sector accounts acquired. 

  • Partnership Development – Number and quality of strategic partnerships secured. 

  • Pipeline Health – Value and quality of opportunities in the pipeline. 

  • Customer Retention & Satisfaction – Client repeat business and satisfaction ratings. 

  • Team Development – Effectiveness of mentoring and collaboration with B2B/B2C managers. 

  • Market Visibility – Speaking engagements, events, and brand positioning outcomes.
