Job Summary

• We are hiring a Factory Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing daily production of furnitures within the facility.


• The role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and with high-quality standards and ensures that finished products meet company specifications and customer expectations.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily factory operations to meet production schedules.


• Monitor workflow to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime.


• Allocate tasks to workers based on skills and production requirements.


• Ensure all furniture produced meets the company’s quality standards.


• Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.


• Implement corrective actions to address defects or process inefficiencies.


• Lead, train, and motivate factory workers, machine operators, and assistants.


• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.


• Resolve conflicts, maintain discipline, and enforce company policies.


• Enforce health and safety regulations within the factory.


• Ensure workers use protective equipment and follow safe operating procedures.


• Report and address safety hazards promptly.


• Oversee usage of raw materials, tools, and machinery.


• Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure availability of required materials.


• Minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.


• Maintain accurate production records, daily reports, and performance logs.


• Provide management with updates on productivity, challenges, and improvement suggestions.


• Assist in implementing new processes and technologies to boost efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Wood Technology, or related field.


• Proven experience (5 - 10 years) as a Supervisor or similar role in a furniture or manufacturing company.


• Strong knowledge of furniture production processes, materials, and machinery.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


• Ability to solve problems, make quick decisions, and manage a team effectively.


• Understanding of safety standards and compliance regulations.

Salary

N200,000 per month.
