Job objective(s)
- Responsible for the integration and facilitation of progress in the implementation of Fidelity Bank’s Sustainable Banking Policy in compliance with the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles and other international best standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Introduce innovative ideas that will further promote Sustainability within the Bank.
- Develop or execute strategies to address issues such as energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste elimination, transportation and education.
- Build internal partnerships with other implementing departments to better mainstream Sustainability across the Bank.
- Develop methodologies to assess the viability or success of sustainability initiatives.
- Formulate or implement sustainability campaign.
- Prepare various reports on Sustainable Banking implementation progress to stakeholders.
- Support the organization of the Sustainable Banking Governance Committee meeting.
Key Performance Indicators
- Minimum of 80% Internal Audit Compliance level
- 100% coverage on visitation and assessment of projects
- 100% compliance on Sustainable Banking reporting
- 100% achievement on capacity building target.
- Support Sustainable Banking Committee meeting preparations, write minutes and communicate action items promptly
- Accelerate institutional and sector-wide implementation progress
Requirements
- Minimum educational level – First Degree in Environmental/Business-related field and a second University degree or professional qualification (in a Sustainability or environmental related studies will be an added advantage)
- 1 to 3 years of work experience in similar role.

- Environmental Management Systems.
- Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles and their applicability.

- IFC Performance Standards
- Basic credit risk management.
- Risk management process.
