Job Summary




  • The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for the company’s milling products (e.g., flour, wheat, animal feed).

  • The role involves developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving sales targets.



Key Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Market and sell the company’s milling products to existing and prospective customers (wholesalers, distributors, bakeries, food processors, feed manufacturers, retailers, etc.).

  • Conduct regular market visits to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including expanding into new territories or customer segments.

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to provide insights for business strategy.

  • Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.

  • Collect customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.

  • Prepare and submit periodic sales reports on activities, opportunities, and challenges.

  • Support promotional campaigns, trade shows, and marketing initiatives to boost brand visibility.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (an agricultural or food science background is an added advantage).

  • 5-8 years’ proven sales experience in the milling or agro-allied industry.

  • Strong knowledge of flour, wheat, grains, or feed milling markets preferred.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.

  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.
