The Partnerships Lead will be responsible for driving distribution partnerships and fleet growth to power Trip-Ease’s mission of becoming Nigeria’s leading multi-modal transport integration platform. This role is central to building the supply and distribution foundation of our ecosystem by onboarding transport operators and securing commercial/community partnerships that drive user acquisition. The right candidate is a resourceful commercial operator who can negotiate, execute, and activate partnerships in a lean startup environment. They must combine strong relationship building with structured deal-making and be comfortable taking ownership of the full partnership lifecycle — from prospecting to integration and growth.

Salary: ₦450,000/month 



Location: Lagos (Hybrid transitioning to On-site)

What You'll Be Accountable For: Key Responsibilities - Partnerships Lead



Distribution (50%)




  • Build and manage pipeline of distribution partners (corporates, campuses, travel agents, events, communities, aggregators).

  • Prospect, pitch, close, and operationalize deals to drive app downloads, bookings, and campaigns.

  • Structure win-win commercial deals (commissions, revenue-share, incentives, rebates).

  • Develop co-marketing playbooks and activations with Marketing.

  • Track partner channel performance and refine packages based on ROI.



Fleet Growth (40%)




  • Source, negotiate, and onboard bus/transport operators (intercity, intra-city, shuttles).

  • Define operator terms: commissions, settlements, SLAs, cancellation policies.

  • Oversee technical onboarding with Product/Engineering (API integration, data flows, testing).

  • Ensure readiness: pricing alignment, training, verification, and compliance checks.

  • Monitor operator performance and retention, intervene to boost utilization and satisfaction.



Cross-Functional Coordination & Governance (10%)




  • Align with Operations to ensure smooth partner activation and service quality.

  • Work with Marketing on activation briefs, creative assets, and reporting cadence.

  • Maintain accurate documentation (MoUs, contracts, commissions, schedules, KPIs).

  • Build dashboards and report commercial performance weekly/monthly to leadership.

Qualifications & Experience




  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business/Marketing/Logistics (MBA/advanced qualification a plus).

  • Experience: 4–6 years in partnerships, business development, or commercial roles (transport, logistics, mobility, marketplaces, SaaS preferred).

  • Track Record: Proven success in B2B partnerships, structuring deals (commission/revenue-share), and managing outcomes.

  • Technical: Exposure to API onboarding and working with engineering/product teams.

  • Analytical: Proficient in economics modelling, Excel/Sheets, basic SQL, dashboards.

  • Communication & Negotiation: Strong written/verbal skills; effective with senior stakeholders.

  • Startup-Ready: Resourceful, able to deliver impact without large teams or budgets.

  • Location: Based in Lagos, hybrid work model, open to travel.



Preferred Skills




  • Experience with transport operators, ticketing systems, or aggregators.

  • Familiarity with Nigerian transport regulations and networks.

  • Proficiency with CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce), contracts (DocuSign, Workspace), and spreadsheets/SQL.

  • Experience designing co-marketing or channel/reseller models.
