Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment. The ideal candidate will take initiative, possess hands-on cleaning experience, have basic computer literacy, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. You will be responsible for daily cleaning, restocking supplies, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of maintaining cleanliness across all office areas, including workstations, common areas, restrooms, and glass partitions. Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly and ensure floors, desks, and office furniture are clean and presentable.
- Monitor and promptly restock essential supplies in restrooms, kitchen, and workstations, also keep a detailed checklist and cleaning log, using basic computer skills to track tasks and supplies.
- Use initiative to identify areas needing attention and suggest improvements to maintain hygiene and orderliness.
- Assist with inventory control and coordinate restocking of cleaning materials and tools.
- Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma (SSCE) or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or office cleaning roles.
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., updating logs, and using email).
- Flexibility to adapt to changing cleaning needs and schedules.
- Basic maintenance skills are an advantage.
Salary: 70,000 Naira Gross Monthly. Benefits include HMO.
Candidates must stay or live around Berger, Ikeja, Ketu, Magodo, Ojota, and Ogudu axis of Lagos State.
