Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the enterprise engineering strategy in line with overall business and technology roadmaps.
- Partner with architecture, product, and infrastructure leaders to deliver enterprise-wide platforms and shared services.
- Drive modernization initiatives including cloud migration, API-first development, DevOps, AI/automation, and containerization.
- Oversee the design, build, and integration of enterprise platforms (APIs, middleware, identity management, shared services).
- Ensure resilience, scalability, and security across enterprise technology stacks.
- Govern and standardize engineering practices across teams and business domains.
- Manage enterprise engineering project portfolio, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Implement engineering governance frameworks aligned with regulatory, security, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee risk management, disaster recovery, observability, and operational resilience.
- Ensure platforms and services comply with enterprise security and data privacy policies.
- Lead, coach, and mentor senior managers, architects, and technical leaders.
- Build a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and diversity initiatives within enterprise engineering.
- Manage enterprise engineering budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization.
- Oversee strategic vendor relationships and third-party technology partnerships.
- Ensure value realization and ROI from enterprise engineering investments.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (mandatory).
- Postgraduate degree such as a Master’s in Engineering, Information Technology, or MBA (preferred).
Experience:
- 10–15 years in technology and software engineering, with at least 5–7 years in senior leadership roles managing large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale engineering including platform engineering, systems integration, middleware, and cloud-native architecture.
- Track record of leading enterprise modernization initiatives such as cloud transformation, API-first development, DevOps adoption, and automation at scale.
- Demonstrated success in governing engineering practices across multiple business units, ensuring compliance, security, and enterprise standards.
- Hands-on involvement in designing and delivering resilient, secure, and scalable platforms that support multiple business domains.
- Experience managing engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and enterprise technology portfolios.
- Strong background in regulatory compliance, risk management, and IT governance within complex, regulated industries (e.g., banking, fintech, telecom).
- Proven ability to build and mentor senior managers and technical leaders, fostering high-performing engineering cultures.
Required Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework).
- ITIL v4 (Managing Professional or Strategic Leader level).
Preferred Certifications:
- Zachman Framework (enterprise architecture).
- CISSP or CISM (security & compliance).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent (DevOps & automation).
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Apache Kafka Certifications, or equivalent (data & integration).
- Executive education programs or Digital Transformation certifications.
