JOB DESCRIPTION




  •  We are sourcing for a Storekeeper Team Lead to supervising storekeeping staff, ensuring efficient inventory management, coordinating daily warehouse operations like receiving and dispatching, implementing and enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining organized stock within the Store.  The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for their team, providing guidance, resolving issues, and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of Store operations.      



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES




  • Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead, mentor, and guide storekeeping personnel, assign daily tasks, and provide work direction. 

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receiving, stocking, and dispatching of goods, track inventory levels, and ensure accurate record-keeping. 

  • Operational Efficiency: Coordinate daily warehouse activities, manage stock layout, and implement procedures to improve efficiency. 

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations, such as OSHA standards, to maintain a safe working environment. 

  • Material Handling: Oversee the safe and proper handling, storage, issuance, and collection of material and supplies to prevent deterioration or damage

  • Performance Monitoring: Analyse operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with other departments to align with supply chain objectives. 

  • Problem-Solving: Resolve inventory system issues and address inquiries from various sources by providing information or referring to appropriate resources. 



QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENT




  • Bachelors’ degree or HND in any Engineering related discipline, A certification in warehousing management, Hazardous Materials Handling certification, or OSHA safety is an added advantage 

  • 5 + years of experience in storekeeping or a warehouse environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or team lead position. 

  • Experience in a technical, marine, or industrial environment is a plus.

  • Expert-level knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), including physical counts, cycle counts, reporting, and discrepancy reconciliation.

  • Deep understanding of the specific tools, spare parts, and equipment being stored and managed.

  • Familiarity with warehouse management practices, safety protocols, and storage methodologies like First-In, First-Out (FIFO).

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
