Job Description
Location: Ota, Ogun
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the operation, maintenance, and performance of all utility systems including boilers, air compressors, chillers, water treatment plants, generators, and HVAC systems.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for utility equipment.
- Monitor utility usage and ensure efficiency in energy and resource consumption.
- Lead troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and resolution of equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations governing utility operations.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure reliable utility supply to all plant operations.
- Supervise, train, and mentor utility technicians and operators to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of utility operations, consumption data, and maintenance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement projects in energy efficiency, sustainability, and system reliability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: ND / HND / B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in utility operations and maintenance within a manufacturing or FMCG environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of boiler operations, compressed air systems, cooling towers, refrigeration units, and power generation systems.
- Strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with safety standards, environmental regulations, and energy management systems.
