Job Summary
- As a Financial Control Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, monitoring budget performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal financial policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and other financial ledgers.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in reconciliations promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation and accuracy of financial transactions in line with company policies.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses for management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), tax regulations, and microfinance banking regulations.
- Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or audit, with strong exposure to reconciliations.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Salary
N300,000 Monthly.
