Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the performance of investments to ensure they are meeting their stated objectives.
- Analysing financial statements to measure the impact of market fluctuations on a firm’s financial position.
- Determining the rate of return on an investment or determining the amount of cash inflow or outflow over time.
- Developing new investment strategies based on current trends in the financial markets.
- Recommending changes to an existing portfolio based on new information or changing market conditions.
- Providing research support for investment teams by tracking industry trends and statistics.
- Coordinating with other departments within a company to gather information about new investments.
- Recommending changes to investment strategies based on an assessment of risk tolerance, time horizon, and other considerations.
- Researching potential investments and making recommendations to clients based on their risk tolerance, time horizon, and other considerations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics or another closely related field
- Knowledge of Islamic/non-interest finance is an added advantage
- 3 - 5 years’ post-NYSC experience.
- Proven Fund Management Experience and financial modelling
- Policy and regulatory knowledge, interpretation and application
- Ability to analyse large amounts of data and compile detailed reports
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Nigeria's capital market regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with SEC rules and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential
