Job Responsibilities




  • As an Animal Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting research and applying scientific principles to improve the breeding, nutrition, health, and overall productivity of animals.

  • You are expected to study animal genetics, physiology, and behavior to develop strategies for better livestock management, disease prevention, and sustainable production practices.

  • You will also provide expert guidance on feed formulation, animal housing systems, and welfare standards to enhance efficiency in both agricultural and commercial settings.

  • Beyond pure research, this role has a strong commercial focus.

  • As the Animal Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and writing professional proposals, including research grant proposals to secure funding and sales proposals to promote new products or technical services to clients.

  • Also, you will actively contribute to the marketing and business development aspects of products, such as feed additives, pharmaceuticals, or genetic services.

  • This includes creating technical marketing materials, training sales teams on product benefits, and directly engaging with customers to communicate scientific value propositions that drive adoption and sales.



Educational Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Animal Production, Veterinary Science, or a closely related field is required (Master’s degree is an added advantage).

  • Additional certification or training in agribusiness, marketing, or proposal writing will be an asset.

  • Relevant experience in research, livestock management, or product development within the agricultural industry.
