Job Description




  • As an IT Application Support Specialist – SAP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP systems, supporting business operations across Nigeria.

  • This role demands technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.



Responsibilites

Provide Level 2/3 SAP Application Support:




  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP issues.

  • Deliver timely and effective solutions to user queries and incidents.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.



Manage SAP Incidents and Service Requests:




  • Prioritize and manage incidents and service requests in alignment with defined SLAs and KPIs.

  • Escalate issues to relevant teams when necessary.



Strategic Effectiveness:




  • Lead and manage the Level 1 application support team within a manufacturing environment, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.

  • Ensure stability and optimal performance of SAP applications.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with business users, vendor teams, and internal IT teams to deliver robust application solutions and enhancements.

  • Drive and manage medium-to-large scale SAP projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

  • Analyze and interpret data to generate insightful management reports for informed decision-making.

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business terms and vice versa.

  • Champion continuous improvement in application support processes.



Key Deliverables




  • Proficient in SAP modules: PP (Production Planning), QM (Quality Management), and MM (Materials Management).

  • Strong understanding of SAP master data requirements.

  • Prior experience in managing SAP service requests (L1 tickets).

  • Solid knowledge of business processes: Procure-to-Pay, Produce-to-Finish, Order-to-Cash.

  • Experience working on key projects involving SAP and other applications.

  • Effective individual contributor and collaborative team player.



Requirements




  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with SAP applications.

  • Proven experience in managing Level 1 application support in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen aptitude for data analysis and management reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing IT projects, particularly within SAP.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Exposure to Tableau or other Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools is a plus.

  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
