Job Summary
- To collect, input, validate, and manage clinical and operational data with a high level of accuracy, ensuring the information is research-ready and supports evidence-based decision-making, performance tracking, and academic work.
Job Responsibilities
Data Collection & Entry:
- Gather clinical and administrative data from multiple sources (patient records, procedure logs, digital systems).
- Enter data accurately into spreadsheets, databases, or research systems.
- Maintain well-organized and up-to-date records.
Data Validation & Quality Control:
- Review entries to detect errors, inconsistencies, or missing values.
- Work with clinical team to clarify data discrepancies.
- Ensure high-quality, research-ready datasets.
Reporting & Analytics Support:
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
- Support in preparing datasets for clinical audits, studies, and publications.
- Provide data-driven insights for improving efficiency and outcomes.
Compliance & Confidentiality:
- Ensure strict confidentiality and adherence to patient data protection policies.
- Follow ethical and regulatory standards for research and data governance.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with doctors, and nurses to capture accurate data.
- Share timely updates and escalate issues.
- Assist in developing templates, dashboards, or processes to improve data reporting.
Requirements
- B.Sc Degree / HND in Statistics, Data Science, Health Information Management, Research Methods, or related field.
- 1 - 3 years experience in data entry, preferably in healthcare or research.
- Part-time work schedule (3 times/week onsite)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, and research/statistical tools (SPSS, STATA, or R).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity with sensitive data.
- Analytical thinking and ability to support research reporting.
