Job Description

About the Role

  • Product at Moniepoint is an inspired, customer-centric community, dedicated to crafting solutions that redefine our industry.

  • We are obsessed with the user experience of our customers in crafting intuitive, innovative easy-to-use solutions for our businesses. We listen to the needs and desires of our customers constantly and uncover their pain points while using our products.

  • There are both extremely demanding traits and experiences we look for in all of our Heads of Product, and specific requirements for this opening.

  • For this specific Head of Product role, we're looking for a senior product leader to scale digital adoption for one of our most strategically important divisions.

  • This is a fast-paced, metrics-driven product role focused on building a world-class self-serve experience for a highly transactional user base, with the mandate of transforming assisted offline users into confident, repeat digital customers - without ever needing to speak to a Moniepoint agent.

  • You’ll own the full digital journey: onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, and repeat transactions. Your success will be measured by metrics like adoption, stickiness, and total digital transaction volume.

Job Purpose

  • Head of Product is a highly prominent role at Moniepoint. Heads of Product are responsible for building a product, running it, and owning its performance from start to finish of the product’s lifecycle.

  • Your product will have set KPIs with goals to achieve. You will be directly responsible for achieving these goals.

  • You will have a team directly reporting to you to help you achieve your goals, which will include Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, QAs, Designers, Operations Leads and individuals representing Compliance and Finance.

  • At Moniepoint the customer is a major stakeholder. You will be acutely close to the customer and build products around their specific needs.

  • You will also need to build for internal and regulatory considerations when the situation demands it.

  • It is your job as Head of Product to represent the customer in all internal interactions, and balance the needs of all internal and external stakeholders for prioritisation. In addition to the domain specific requirements, as a Head of Product, you will:

    • Own and deliver against clear KPIs - growth, efficiency, experience, revenue.

    • Lead full-stack teams (PMs, engineers, designers, analysts, etc.) and shape the roadmap.

    • Stay obsessively close to customers and operational stakeholders.

    • Deeply understand their business area, and what levers to pull to get the product into the hands of customers, at scale, and profitably.

    • Balance business needs, regulatory context, and user experience.

    • Work hands-on with data to uncover insights, drive decisions, and ship high-impact improvements.

    • Most importantly, our Heads don’t just write specs - they roll up their sleeves, and build and run the product.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Own the self-serve product experience: Build intuitive, reliable order flows that drive digital-first behavior.

  • Drive activation & early retention: Create onboarding journeys that reduce drop-off and maximize early wins.

  • Run growth experiments: Design and launch A/B tests, funnel improvements, and product-led growth loops.

  • Leverage behavioral data: Define cohorts, analyze usage patterns, and uncover blockers to scale.

  • Optimize app performance: Lead roadmap for mobile reliability, UX, and app stickiness.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with marketing, ops, and engineering to integrate nudges, triggers, and retention campaigns.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in product growth or related roles; ideally in transactional apps (e.g. ecommerce or fintech) where you were fully responsible for growth, engagement and retention.

  • 5+ years in product leadership positions, managing Product Managers.

  • Deep experience with behavioral analytics, growth funnels, and experimentation frameworks.

  • A strong product mindset with a bias toward action and measurable outcomes.

  • Familiarity with user psychology, habit loops, and personalization techniques.
