Job Description
Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare, cook, and present meals to Above Lifestyle’s luxury standards.
- Follow standardized recipes while ensuring creativity and flavor consistency.
- Maintain portion control and food presentation according to set guidelines.
- Ensure all dishes are served promptly and in proper sequence.
Kitchen Operations:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure mise-en-place (prep work) is completed ahead of service.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the store/kitchen supervisor.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries properly.
Hygiene & Safety Compliance:
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Follow HACCP guidelines and Above Lifestyle’s kitchen SOPs.
- Report equipment faults, hazards, or accidents immediately.
Teamwork & Collaboration:
- Support and guide kitchen assistants/commis chefs where required.
- Work closely with wait staff, bar, and shisha teams to ensure smooth guest service.
- Contribute ideas for menu development, seasonal specials, and guest experiences.
Brand Standards & Guest Experience:
- Deliver meals that reflect Above Lifestyle’s luxury brand image.
- Support the Head Chef in executing special menus for VIPs, events, and private bookings.
- Consistently seek ways to improve food quality and service experience.
