Monitor usage rates and lead times to forecast demand; plan replenishment to avoid stockouts and overstock.
Maintain accurate stock records for raw materials, intermediate components, finished goods, reagents, and consumables
Maintain safety stocks and reorder points in coordination with Production, R&D, and Procurement.
Oversee storage of materials, ensuring conditions match requirements (temperature, humidity, cleanliness etc.), especially for temperature‑sensitive biological, chemical, or food items.
Implement and enforce FEFO (First Expired, First Out) / FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
Ensure traceability of batches / lots from procurement through usage to final product or disposal.
Plan and conduct regular physical counts / stocktakes; reconcile physical stock with system records; investigate discrepancies.
Implement corrective actions for mis‑counts, losses, wastage, expiry.
