Job Responsibilities




  • Record day-to-day financial transactions (e.g. purchases, sales, receipts, payments).

  • Maintain accurate ledgers, journals, and account reconciliations.

  • Ensure that all transactions are properly documented, authorized, and coded.

  • Process supplier invoices, track outstanding payments, and prepare vendor payments.

  • Generate and send customer invoices; monitor receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Reconcile accounts with suppliers and customers regularly.

  • Monitor bank accounts and perform regular bank reconciliations.

  • Record cash transactions and maintain petty cash records.

  • Reconcile cash balances with system records and report variances.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Contribute to budget tracking and expenditure variance reporting.



Job Requirements




  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAN in progress or completed) are advantageous.

  • 3–5 years of experience in a finance or accounting support role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential (pivot tables, formulas, basic dashboards).

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, or ERP systems) is an advantage.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.

  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive financial information.

  • Strong work ethic and reliability; must be accountable and deadline-conscious.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a structured finance team with proper processes.
