Job Description
- The Technical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving automotive components, systems, and assemblies. The role involves creating 2D/3D models, preparing technical drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The engineer will also play a key role in prototyping, testing, and supporting the transition of designs into mass production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive parts, systems, and assemblies using CAD/CAE tools.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, models, and design documentation.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, procurement, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability of designs.
- Conduct simulations, stress analysis, and performance evaluations of components.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Review and improve existing designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and durability.
- Provide technical support during production and troubleshoot design-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.
- Stay updated on new design methodologies, tools, and automotive technologies.
Job Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
- Certification in CAD/CAE software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD is an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in automotive or mechanical design engineering.
- Experience with design validation, prototyping, and manufacturing processes is preferred.

- Strong proficiency in CAD/CAE tools and design software.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and technical documentation skills.
