Key Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure adequate supply of diesel and maintain accurate consumption records.
- Supervise servicing and repairs of generators, ensuring optimal performance.
- Ensure adequate lighting of the premises at all times.
- Prepare and submit monthly consumption reports.
- Maintain records of water treatment processes and schedules.
- Keep an accurate inventory of electrical materials and spare parts.
- Monitor and ensure that all air conditioning units are in good working condition, promptly report faults, and follow up on repairs.
- Ensure routine servicing and performance checks of inverters.
- Respond promptly to facility utility issues to minimize downtime.
Measures of Work Performance
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical/utility issues effectively
- Ability to keep accurate and timely records
- Minimal downtime of generators, AC units, and other utilities
- Timely completion of maintenance assignments
- Compliance with facility safety and maintenance standards
Qualifications
- Minimum Educational Requirement: OND in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3)
- Minimum Relevant Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in facility utility maintenance.
Required Competencies and Work Skills:
- Proficiency in industrial and domestic electrical work
- Knowledge of generator maintenance and servicing
- Knowledge of inverter maintenance and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of AC maintenance and repair follow-up
- Familiarity with IKDC meter reading and consumption record keeping
- Strong record-keeping and reporting skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to ensure zero downtime of utilities.
