Job Summary 

We are looking to employ an experienced Backend developer who will be responsible for working on applications at the backend collaborating with other team members to build scalable applications for various sectors. 

Responsibilities: -

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging 


• Write clean code to develop functional web applications 


• Troubleshoot and debug applications 


• Perform UI tests to optimize performance 


• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications 


• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic


• Gather and address technical and design requirements 


• Provide training and support to internal teams


•  Make use of and build reusable code and libraries for future use


• Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features 


• Follow emerging technologies

Qualification & Experience

•  BSc. / HND in Computer Science or any related discipline 


•  Minimum of + 2 years’ work experience in a similar capacity

Core Technical Skills: -

Programming Languages

• Proficiency in at least one backend language:  JavaScript
  
  
  
  
  • Java (Spring Boot)
  
  
  • API Development & Integration : - RESTful API design and development 
  
  
  • Experience with GraphQL is a plus 
  
  
  • API documentation  is required 
  
  
  • Database Management:  Strong in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
  
  
  • Ability to design normalized schemas and optimize queries 
  
  
  • Authentication & Authorization : -  Implementing secure user authentication (JWT, OAuth2). Role-based access control (RBAC)
  
  
  • Version Control: - Proficiency with Git and workflows (e.g., GitFlow). Experience with platforms like GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
