Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Monitor and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide first-line technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions across systems.
- Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
- Support in the implementation of new technology solutions and upgrades.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of IT processes.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers for system repairs, upgrades, or IT-related procurement.
- Train and guide employees on IT tools, applications, and security best practices.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Support, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, hardware, and software.
- Familiarity with database management, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity practices.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):
- Certifications such as CompTIA, CCNA, Microsoft, or ITIL.
- Experience with ERP systems, cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), or database administration.
