The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining the hospital’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth network operations, and providing technical support to staff. The role requires a hands-on professional who can troubleshoot, secure, and enhance IT systems to support the hospital’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and servers.
Monitor and maintain hospital IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
Provide first-line support and resolve technical issues for end-users.
Ensure data protection, backup, and recovery systems are in place.
Manage hospital IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
Assist in the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain and improve IT infrastructure.
Train staff on the use of IT systems, applications, and security best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as an IT Officer, System Administrator, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
Hands-on experience with IT security, data backup, and recovery solutions.
Familiarity with hospital management systems (added advantage).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
